Protests have erupted across US, denouncing the immigrations policies of US President Donald Trump and his administrations after Custom Enforcement (ICE) agents wounded two people, and killed another.

Indivisible, a civil organization formed to resist the policies of Trump said on Saturday that more protests will be organized after federal agents enforcing the administration`s immigration policies opened fire in two separate incidents, resulting in the wounding of two people and death of a US citizen.

In one incident on Thursday, a federal agent shot and wounded a man and woman in a vehicle, identified by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as Venezuela nationals Luis David Nico Moncada and Yorlenys Betzabeth Zambrano-Contreras in Portland.

DHS stated that both Moncada, and Zambrano-Contreras were taken to the hospital due to the extent of their injuries but were in stable condition.

The Oregon Department of Justice said it would investigate the incident as federal agents have not been able to prove that they were in any danger.

On Friday evening, hundreds of protesters marched to the ICE building in Portland, condemning the shooting.

On Wednesday, Jonathan Ross, a veteran ICE agent fatally shot a US citizen in named Renee Good while she was in her car in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Vice President JD Vance and Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin said in posts on X that Ross had fired in self-defense.

"Many of you have been told this law enforcement officer was not hit by a car, was not being harassed, and murdered an innocent woman ... The reality is that his life was endangered and he fired in self defense," Vance claimed.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey has said any self-defense argument is "garbage" as Good posed no danger to any of the agents present at the scene of the incident.

The public was already outraged by this event when the news of the shooting in Portland became public, resulting in mass protests across the US.

The Minneapolis shooting happened on the second day of the immigration crackdown in the Twin Cities, which DHS said is the largest immigration enforcement operation in the US.

Trump administration is also shifting immigration officers to Minneapolis from sweeps in Louisiana. This represents a pivot, as the Louisiana crackdown that began in December had been expected to last into February.
